India Pakistan water disput: पानी रोका तो जंग होगी? सिंधु जल समझौते पर पाकिस्तान की खुली धमकी पाकिस्तान के रक्षा मंत्री ख्वाजा आसिफ ने पानी के मुद्दे पर भारत को युद्ध की चेतावनी दी। सिंधु जल समझौता 1960 से भारत और पाकिस्तान के बीच पानी के बंटवारे का आधार रहा है। अप्रैल 2025 में पहलगाम आतंकी हमले के बाद भारत ने समझौते को निलंबित कर दिया। समझौता रुकने के बाद दोनों देशों के बीच जल प्रवाह और बाढ़ संबंधी डेटा साझा करना बंद हो गया। पाकिस्तान के सिंध और पंजाब प्रांतों में सिंचाई और खेती पर असर की आशंका बढ़ी। कई नहरों में पानी की उपलब्धता में भारी कमी दर्ज होने के दावे सामने आए। विशेषज्ञों के अनुसार पाकिस्तान की लगभग 80% कृषि भूमि सिंधु नदी प्रणाली पर निर्भर है। भारत फिलहाल पूरा पानी रोकने की स्थिति में नहीं है, लेकिन जल भंडारण क्षमता बढ़ाने पर काम कर सकता है। Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has warned India of war over the water issue. The Indus Waters Treaty has served as the basis for water sharing between India and Pakistan since 1960. India suspended the treaty following the Pahalgam terror attack in April 2025. With the suspension of the treaty, the sharing of data regarding water flow and flood conditions between the two nations ceased. Concerns grew regarding the impact on irrigation and agriculture in Pakistan's Sindh and Punjab provinces. Reports emerged claiming a drastic reduction in water availability across several canals. According to experts, approximately 80% of Pakistan's agricultural land relies on the Indus River system.
