💚 Traxxas X-Maxx Ultimate 12S | Is MORE Power Always Better? 🚀 Welcome back to the channel! In this video I'm finally taking my Traxxas X-Maxx Ultimate to the bash track after transforming it into a 12S monster with a long list of Vitavon upgrades and a Hobbywing Max5 800KV combo. But before going completely crazy, I start the day on 8S to see how the truck handles this extremely rough bash track, filled with deep holes, rocks, and massive bumps. To my surprise, the X-Maxx feels absolutely incredible! The suspension soaks up everything, the truck stays planted, and honestly... 8S already feels more than powerful enough for this technical track. Of course, curiosity gets the better of me, so it's finally time to install the 12S setup. The result? Pure insanity! 🤯 The acceleration is unbelievable, but I quickly discover that this track simply doesn't have enough room to use all that power. Every time I build up serious speed, another corner appears and it's back on the brakes. The only place where 12S really shines is over the double jump, where the extra speed sends the X-Maxx flying farther than ever... almost landing outside the track! 😂 As if that wasn't enough, the day ends with a strange drivetrain noise. Back in the workshop, it's time for a full inspection. The Vitavon pinion and spur gear still look brand new, the differential ring gear is perfect as well... but eventually I find the real culprit: the differential pinion gear that drives the center differential has failed. Time for yet another Vitavon upgrade to replace another piece of Traxxas' famous "monkey metal"! 💚 Was the 12S conversion worth it? Is 8S actually the better choice for this kind of bash track?
