How to set up and use REW:    • Video   *****It donned on me after watching these that I didn't really explain how to choose a crossover point. Some people say twice the speakers resonant frequency (fs), but this is really for mid to high frequency drivers. The mids fs in my install is about 100hz, a 200hz crossover would work, but the volume would be limited, as the excursion would be a limiting factor at higher volumes, and creating more distortion. A chosen crossover of 300hz is better, and in a home audio application the crossover would be closer to 500 or 600hz, application depending. On the high end watch for cone break up, usually found by a jump in output on the high end of a drivers frequency response. Tuning my Sound Quality car, and explaining the steps taken.
