The composting facility in Ambinanibe, in the Fort-Dauphin Sub-district Municipality, was officially inaugurated on May 12, 2026, which belongs to the DIOLOTO project within the Tatirano Social Entreprise company in collaboration with the Fort-Dauphin Sub-district Municipality, which is part of the implementation of the ECOSAN project in Southern Madagascar, with the project starting in the Ambinanibe Fokontany. The goal of the project is to reach 700 households in this Fokontany, which is classified as a pilot project and will spread throughout the 11 Fokontany and especially the Southern Region of the Island, to combat open defecation, improve the cleanliness of the city, and also provide jobs for young people. This project was carried out under the leadership of the Fort-Dauphin Municipality and various partners, and Mayor Andry Andriamahasoro thanked and fully appreciated the founder of this project, Mr. Harry Chaplin, for his efforts to develop the city during today's inauguration ceremony of the infrastructure.
