Sydney Trains Vlog 1671: The Return of 3801
Vlog 1671 The Return of 3801 3801 was built by Clyde Engineering and was the first of 30 C38 Class Locomotives. It entered service in January 1943 and was withdrawn from service in December 1976. In the years after, 3801 entered preservation. In October 1988 the Flying Scotsman arrived from England and was paired with 3801 for a majority of its year long tour of Australia. In 2007, 3801 was again withdrawn for overhaul. After over a decade 3801 is finally ready to start testing and will soon start taking passengers on heritage tours. This video shows 3801 under test at Chester Hill station. The video also features other trains. #railway #railroad #trains Filmed on: 20/1/2020
