1600ft Homebrew wire antenna QRP SSB 5w - Iowa
Hello all... This antenna is not too unusual, but I wanted to get it built before winter and it was a great outdoor learning adventure... I built it to experiment with a horizontal low long wire configuration. This wire antenna is 1600ft long and 10ft off the ground... I was curious about the performance difference between it and my normal 550ft long wire that is 70ft high.. The low wire in the field is just a temporary install and will be removed before the spring field work next year.. If you want to skip how it is built, the QSO signal reports start at the 8:24 mark.. Thanks for watching..
