#southsudan #pressconferance of #UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency The Acting UN Resident Coordinator /Humanitarian Coordinator ( a.i,) who is UNHCR’s Country Representative Arafat Jamal leaded a JOINT INTER-CLUSTER COORDINATION GROUP (ICCG) Mission to Ayod of Jonglei State along with the head of OCHA, #WFP and representatives of the RRC to assess the flood affected areas in Jonglei state. During the mission they abled to hear directly from the communities on their challenges and needs. For many this is the second time the communities of Menime, Haat Pakur, Nyot, Pakuem, Jochuor Wan-Machar and Nyawit (Ayod islands) and Gorwai, Kalel, Karmun, Padek, Nyaanepaal, Pilual and Jiech in the east have been displaced by rising waters this year, following the same initial #floods last year.
