MAŁA FATRA - STOH ze Štefanovej [Słowacja]

Where to go mountain hiking in Slovakia? Attractive mountain trails in Slovakia? I invite you to the Malá Fatra, the Slovak mountains near the border of Poland and the Czech Republic. Your destination is Stoh, one of the most popular and attractive peaks in the Malá Fatra. The trail begins in the Štefanová settlement, in the heart of the Kriváňská Fatra. The green trail leads us along a forest path to the ridge, to the Medziholie Pass. From there, the red ridge trail leads through endless meadows to Stoh. Then we lose several hundred meters, descending a very unpleasant, steep, and slippery path, before resuming the arduous ascent to Poludňový grúň. Finally, another extremely steep descent to the mountain hut. Only a short, but not particularly pleasant, rocky section remains to Stefanová. The route is very strenuous, but the arduous hike is compensated by the fantastic panoramas. 00:00 Intro 00:20 Štefanová 01:16 We set off along the green trail 03:36 Stoh is already in sight 04:50 Medziholie Pass 06:07 Red trail 07:09 Above the forest 09:53 Stoh - at the summit 11:03 A nasty descent 12:26 I cancel... 14:58 Poludňový grúň 15:28 Zakosiki 16:46 Shelter and summary 18:05 Bonus Link to the map: https://mapa-turystyczna.pl/route/p5iq
