She recorded 25 tracks at 14 different sessions in Chicago between 1924 and 1928. In "Delta Bottom Blues," a song she so-wrote with Jimmy Blythe, she sings "Way down on the Delta, honey, that's where I come from...I was born in Arkansas, raised in Memphis, Tennessee."
