How our families remember our loved ones

Losing a loved one is one of the most difficult experiences we can face. In today's video, I share some thoughts about grief, remembrance, and the ways my culture create altars and memorial spaces to honor those who have passed on. These special places help us keep memories alive, celebrate the lives of those we love, and provide comfort during the healing process. This video is also dedicated to a very special friend, Debbie. Today is her 60th birthday, and while birthdays are usually a time of celebration, this one comes during an incredibly painful season after the recent loss of her daughter.
