Derby Then and now : Friargate bridge view 1958 to 2006

In this Derby then and now I'm standing on the southern bridge abutment of the east section of the former Friargate bridge looking northeast. I would love to retake the "now" view but as this site it currently under development then its not possible to do, I will hopefully be able to in a few years. I actually took the "now" photo in 2006 but have only just got around to making it line up, glad I have though as it looks rather good this one, if you were to take a new "now" photo then it would look the same apart from at the end of the bridge there is now a building butted up against it as you can see in my recent footage here :    • Friargate railway station Derby (site of) ...   Also you would now see the new buildings on Agard Street built for the university of Derby.
