LUZ QUENTE OU LUZ FRIA - COMO ESCOLHER A LÂMPADA CERTA PARA CADA AMBIENTE

Do you know HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT LIGHT FOR EACH ROOM? What's the best option: WARM LIGHT OR COOL LIGHT? YELLOW LIGHT OR WHITE LIGHT? When we think about lighting a room, one of the first things that comes to mind is the LIGHTING FITS. Whether we're going to use warm or cool light, whether in a KITCHEN, LIVING ROOM, BEDROOM, BATHROOM, GOURMET AREA, HOME OFFICE, or LAUNDRY ROOM, this is essential. To get LIGHTING TIPS for EASY DECORATION, we need to do some analysis to choose between yellow and white light. We need to make careful choices about artificial lighting so that the house doesn't become too dark or spend too much on unnecessary lighting. Warm light is the light most oriented toward the yellow color, around 2,700 K and 3,000 K (the "K" refers to the Kelvin unit of measurement). This lower color temperature creates a more yellowish or orangey appearance, conveying a feeling of warmth and intimacy. Warm light is more cozy and relaxing and brings a sense of sophistication. Cool light, on the other hand, is associated with higher color temperatures, generally above 5,000 K and 6,000 K. This higher color temperature creates a whiter color appearance with a bluish tone, conveying a feeling of energy and alertness. These colors are no longer widely used in homes; they are more common in clinics, surgical centers, gas stations, and street lighting. In short, yellow light is associated with environments that want something more welcoming and cozy, while white light is more commonly used in spaces where we want to maintain attention. If you put white light in a bedroom or a resting place, you'll get an unattractive effect. If you use yellow light in a home office, kitchen, or workspace in general, it can make you sleepy, and in the case of the kitchen, it can even be dangerous. A middle ground for using good lighting that I prefer is to use NEUTRAL LIGHT, or neutral white. Basically, it's between 3500 and 4500k. This light is neither white nor yellow, it's somewhere in between. Besides the bulb's color temperature, there are other things to consider. One is that there's no relationship between the bulb's color and its brightness. This is indicated by the luminous flux, measured in lumens, while the power (in watts) tells us how much energy a bulb consumes to operate. This is why incandescent bulbs consume more than LED bulbs, as they have more watts and fewer lumens (Lm). Another important factor is the CRI (Color Rendering Index), which determines how light affects the color of food. This is important for detecting spoiled food. The highest value of this index is 100, so the closer a bulb's CRI is to 100, the better it is, regardless of whether it's a white or yellow light. In integrated spaces like a kitchen and living room, we can have two lighting tones. My tip is to keep the general lighting in a single tone and include some elements in another tone, such as LED strips, pendants, sconces, floor lamps, illuminated baseboards, LED profiles, etc. Indirect lighting is also a great option to make the space more cozy. Let's talk by room: Bathroom: can have indirect lighting, but direct overhead light is good on the countertop, as it casts shadows. It can have frontal lighting with mirror light, pendants and sconces, or a diffused bulb. It doesn't have to be warm light here, but cool light is better in the bathroom, but neutral light is preferable. Laundry room: This is a workspace; it needs to have a good CRI. Use neutral light; Kitchen: This is also a workspace. Use neutral light for general lighting, and warm light can be used on other areas with a CRI of 90 or higher. Gourmet area: The same as the kitchen. Bedroom: Warm light or a combination of warm and neutral light is ideal; Living room: Warm or neutral and warm light can be used. Indirect or diffused light is also available; Home office: Use neutral light; Closet: Use bulbs with a high CRI.
