Hand Drill, Goldenrod, 2 Hole Fire Board Method, and The Leaves Did Rudiger Roll!

Goldenrod is easy to find this time of the year in Upstate SC. It is an easy Hand Drill Spindle to work with. Like the Horseweed, it has leaf nubs that comfortably bite into the skin of the hand and give you a sure grip. Seems like it took forever to dry out in the back glass of the car, 10 days. I was kind of waiting for all the leaves to turn brown, but they didn't. As it turns out, Goldenrod leaves retain their green color even when they get crispy dry... Good!!!
