STAR TREK VI THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY 4K UHD, 70MM & 35MM REVIEW
This is not only a review of the film on 4K disc but a fairly comprehensive retrospective dating back to when it was first screened in the premiere theatre The Empire, Leicester Square as a 70mm blow-up struck directly from the original camera negative. I have been trying to reproduce the superlative quality of that print and the unrivalled THX sound of The Empire ever since that night in February 1992. It was one of the most impressive films to see - and hear - in a high quality cinema. The series of six films featuring the original Star Trek cast have been released on 4K disc with the first four being released as a box set about 12 months prior to the new box of six. Whilst the new box is selling for £99 at the time this video was made, Computer Exchance (CEX) have been selling the original four films box for £38 second hand.
