Weserradweg - Hann.Münden bis Minden

With a week to spare and having travelled north in an environmentally friendly way using the D-Ticket (a regional train ticket), we began our Weser River cycling tour in Hann. Münden, heading all the way to Minden. On our eco-friendly bikes, we explored the beautiful towns of the Weser Renaissance. Hann. Münden was, of course, the first highlight, with its magnificent town hall and the Weser Stone marking the beginning of the Weser River. With the song of "Doctor Eisenbart" still ringing in our ears, we continued on to our accommodation in Bad Karlshafen. Other highlights included the climate-friendly cable ferries that took us to the other side of the Weser, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Corvey Abbey, the Münchhausen town of Bodenwerder with its Münchhausen Museum, and Hamelin with the legend of the Pied Piper. In Minden, we concluded our cycling tour with a delicious meal at the Schiffmühle restaurant right on the banks of the Weser, before taking the train home. ...
