Finally reached the end of this trip. Home to Dyess AFB and Abilene Texas. There were a lot of good moments. I've heard the connections to your crew aren't the same while flying for the airlines. Which is a shame but the chance to travel and see places is awesome. After flying through freezing weather and thunderstorms, we finally make it home. On landing we hit a cloud deck and icing that drives us to fly the ILS approach. About the flight suits: We are wearing two-piece Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP) Nomex Flight Suits. Same general cut and pattern as the single-piece green flight suits. Choice of which to wear is up to the individual. I personally find having pants and taking the top off while pushing pallets in hot and humid climates during an Engine Running Onload to be more comfortable. Less of a status uniform and more of a utility uniform. But it's all personal preference and many still prefer the old PJs. Gloves are nearby (my pocket) but not required in flight.
