Magnolia Gravel Galore! 2023 Ohio Gravel Race Series #6

Welcome to beautiful Magnolia Ohio for the 6th stop in the Ohio Gravel Race Series. This race is described on the Facebook page as "a gravel ride in the Ohio Gravel Race Series. Scenic country roads" This may be the most undersold description of any race I've ever seen, as this endlessly interesting and engaging course produced my fastest overall average speed of the series, a fact I suspect is true for many other racers out there as well. Following a mud/grass cyclocross start, we climbed, descended, circled a private lake, cut through single and double track, and ripped across a golf course for a very unique day of racing. We had cool conditions on the day and the race atmosphere was outstanding. I battled in the last hour to catch one final rider before the finish, but once I made the catch, he wasn't going to let that pass happen without a fight. Following the results of this race, I now sit in 8th place of roughly 400 eligible riders in the series, so I'm going to need a solid finish next month in order to crack the podium Please check out the action!   / magnoliagravelgalore
