1961 | Maryvale, Arizona | John F Long Home Sales Film 'The Home Owner' with Buster Keaton | Entire

The complete 1961 short sales film featuring Buster Keaton as a prospective home buyer in Maryvale, Arizona (a suburb of Phoenix). A home consultant for John F Long homes (played by Bob Hawk) takes Buster on a tour of some model tract homes. After buying a home, Buster proceeds to wreak havoc in the community. He falls into another resident's pool with a shopping cart full of purchases from S. S. Kresge's, at Maryvale Shopping City, knocks over an unassuming waiter with a bowling ball at Bowlero (the local bowling alley) and tries his hand at being a waiter at the Lantern Inn restaurant. The construction of the new Maryvale hospital and golf course are then discussed, and the films ends with a panoramic view of the model tract homes.
