Online Parameter Estimation and Adaptive Control
MathWorks engineers will introduce new capabilities for online parameter estimation and will explain and demonstrate how these capabilities can be used for fault detection and adaptive control. The webinar will begin with an overview of recently developed online parameter estimation algorithms. You can use these algorithms to estimate system parameters and detect changes in system dynamics. We will demonstrate how to deploy these algorithms to an embedded processor to detect load changes for a motor. In the second part of the webinar we will discuss how you can use the new capabilities to develop adaptive controllers. We will demonstrate how you can feed the models estimated online, as described above, to an adaptive model predictive controller to control a nonlinear plant with a wide operating range. Through demonstrations you will learn how to: Estimate system parameters online using algorithms provided in System Identification Toolbox Use estimated system parameters to detect sudden changes in system dynamics Use models estimated online to design adaptive model predictive controllers See what's new in the latest release of MATLAB and Simulink: https://goo.gl/3MdQK1 Download a trial: https://goo.gl/PSa78r
