We'll perform a point test with both forms and see which representation has which advantages. --------SUMMARY----------------------------- Point Test with Parametric Form I substitute the position vector of the point for vector x into the plane equation and determine the corresponding parameter values. To do this, I have to solve a system of equations. If I find two unique parameters that transform all three equations into a true statement, the system of equations has a solution and the point lies in the plane. Point test with coordinate form I insert the coordinates of the point into the plane equation. If the result is a true statement, the point lies in the plane.
