SAFs (Sustainable Aviation Fuels) are biofuels used to power aircraft. They have similar properties to conventional fuel, but with a reduced carbon footprint. Using SAFs can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 94% compared to conventional fuel, depending on the type of feedstock used. Hydrogen is also a promising alternative for sustainable aviation. It can be stored in gaseous or liquid form at very low temperatures. Airbus has announced its goal of commercializing a hydrogen-powered aircraft by 2035.
