Our first bus was purchased in 1946, for transportation between Governador Valadares and Teófilo Otoni, in Minas Gerais. Six months later, with the positive results of our work, another bus was purchased. The first business, named Auto Viação 13, was then formed. In the early 1950s, Carlos Chieppe and his brother João Chieppe formed the company João Chieppe & Sobrinho (1950-1955) – a reference to Carlos's eldest son, Vallecio – and refocused the passenger transportation business, operating two new routes: Colatina-Vila Pancas and Colatina-Alto Rio Novo. When Wander and Aylmer joined the business, Carlos Chieppe and his sons bought out João and created Vallecio Chieppe & Irmãos (1955-1956), which had a fleet of three buses. A company was born that, through hard work, dedication, and overcoming challenges, would grow and strengthen over time. In 1956, Vallecio began a new journey, receiving a bus and two lots from Carlos in São Silvano, located in Colatina. Wander and Aylmer, in turn, continued together at the Irmãos Chieppe bus company (1956-1958), which had two buses. Knowing that Vallecio Chieppe was looking for a new business, businessman Ceny Judice Achiamé offered him the Águia Branca Bus Company, founded in 1949 in the city of Colatina. In 1958, Vallecio invited Wander and Aylmer to participate in the purchase of another company, Viação Brasil, from Barra de São Francisco (ES - 1958-1961). And within two years, the new company expanded its fleet from 4 to 12 vehicles. On February 17, 1961, Viação Brasil and the Águia Branca Bus Company merged, and, led by the three Chieppe brothers, we acquired our current name: Viação Águia Branca. It was only in the late 1960s that Vallecio, Wander, Aylmer, and Cláudio envisioned opportunities to acquire new lines and other passenger companies. This growth began in May 1970 with the purchase of Mariano Pires Pontes, known as Sayonara. That same year, the fleet and lines of Viação Itapemirim, which served the northern region of Espírito Santo, were acquired. The operation in northern Espírito Santo led the company's expansion into Bahia. In 1973, Expresso São Jorge, headquartered in Itabuna, was acquired. The distinctive service provided allowed it to quickly win over local customers. The company expanded and strengthened its presence in the state and acquired Viação Santa Efigênia (1974) and Nossa Senhora de Fátima (1978). Also in 1978, Rota Transportes Rodoviários was created, a partnership between Águia Branca and the regional companies Camurujipe and Viazul, which purchased portions of the lines of Sulba (Companhia de Viação Sulbaiano), a state-owned company operating in the region. With the rapid growth of the business, the partners decided to move the company's headquarters from Colatina to Greater Vitória in 1975, two years after opening the depot in Campo Grande (Cariacica), where our headquarters remain today. Continuing the growth of the previous decade, in the early 1980s we acquired Viação Amparo, Cristo Rei, and part of Viação Santana-São Paulo – all geared towards expanding our business in Bahia. In Espírito Santo, we acquired Viação Capixaba (1982), aiming to expand the charter service, which Águia Branca itself had begun in 1977. In 1982, a unique identity was created for passenger transportation companies, all of which were named Águia Branca. Our brand and fleet visuals were developed by renowned designer Hans Donner. In 2005, Viação Salutaris, a company operating in the São Paulo/Northeast market, was acquired. Once again, Hans Donner was invited to create a new visual identity for the company's buses, which began operating as Viação Salutaris exclusively in the São Paulo/Northwest market and as Viação Águia Branca in other regions. In December 2015, the company acquired its first Double Deck buses, at which time Hans Donner once again collaborated on the redesign of the visual identity of all vehicles. In 2016, the Salutaris and Águia Branca brands were unified, with the entire company now represented solely by the Águia Branca brand.
