Teen Company 2020: Romeo and Juliet Masquerade Dance

In this passionate and lyrical piece, set among the gears of a giant clock, the greatest of Shakespearean lovers race against time itself to outrun their fate. The Synetic Teen Company will present Synetic’s landmark and “enthralling” (The Washington Post) production of Romeo and Juliet! One of the first in Synetic’s “wordless Shakespeare” series, the original 2011 production received 6 Helen Hayes Award Nominations and 2 wins, for Outstanding Resident Play and Ensemble. This production does not have dialogue. Synetic’s Teen Company is a year-round training program dedicated to developing the next generation of athletic performers. Accepted by audition, members of the Synetic Teen Company train directly under Synetic co-founder and resident choreographer Irina Tsikurishvili to gain confidence, discipline, and the responsibility to challenge themselves and their peers.
