Scott's Big Nymph, with Lively Legz, Holsinger's Fly Shop

At the shop I tie flies to order for customers. Scott's Big Nymph is one of the flies I was asked to tie so I thought I'd share it with you. Scott Major from the YouTube channel PA WOODS N WATER created this fly as an imitation for an Isonychia but it is better suited to imitate a Brown Stonefly. He also ties this pattern using ginger ostrich herl. The ginger makes a great pattern for a Golden Stone. Scott has a great channel where he fishes a lot in my area and all over Pennsylvania. He also likes to use Lively Legz to fish. I don't fish them that much because of the style of fishing I do, but they do catch fish.
