Los OSCUROS SECRETOS de CORINNA: la MUJER a la que el REY CULPÓ de PERDER su TRONO
A king gave her sixty-five million euros. When he asked for it back and she refused, a twelve-year war began, ending with him in exile and her accusing him of forcing her to follow him. Her name is Corinna Larsen, and for years she was the best-kept secret of the Zarzuela Palace. Corinna was born in Frankfurt in 1964, the daughter of a Danish aviation executive. She grew up between Brazil, Germany, Italy, and Spain. She studied International Relations in Geneva. She married twice—the second time to a German prince, which gave her the title of Princess of Sayn-Wittgenstein with the style of Her Serene Highness. She spoke several languages. She moved among royal houses and great fortunes as a professional intermediary. In February 2004, during a hunting trip at the La Garganta estate in Ciudad Real, she met the King of Spain. Three months later, she was already organizing Felipe and Letizia's honeymoon. And for years, she maintained a relationship with Juan Carlos, which unfolded, among other places, in a discreet cottage within the gardens of the Zarzuela Palace. All the while, the rest of Spain believed in the perfect royal family. In 2008, one hundred million Saudi dollars arrived in a Swiss account in the name of a Panamanian foundation called Lucum. The sole beneficiary: Juan Carlos de Borbón. Four years later, in June 2012, barely two months after the Botswana scandal, the king transferred sixty-five million euros of that money to Corinna. Her version: it was an unsolicited gift. His lawyers even claimed he used her as a front. His version: it was a gift out of gratitude and affection. He asked her to return it. She said no. And that's where the war began. In 2015, Commissioner Villarejo secretly recorded Corinna in London. Unaware she was being recorded, she spoke frankly about money in Switzerland, front men, and alleged commissions related to the high-speed rail project to Mecca. Those tapes were published in 2018 and caused a cataclysm. Importantly, she did not leak the recordings. They were made in secret. And Villarejo was under investigation for corruption when they were released. In August 2020, Juan Carlos left Spain for Abu Dhabi. And the narrative was settled: Corinna was the guilty party. The woman on the safari. The one with the tapes. The one with the millions. Corinna sued Juan Carlos in London courts for harassment, illegal surveillance, and defamation. She claimed €146 million. He was served with the lawsuit via WhatsApp. But on October 6, 2023, the judge ruled that the British courts lacked jurisdiction. The case was dismissed without a hearing. They didn't say she was lying. They said she had chosen the wrong country. IMPORTANT — the legal outcomes that no one is reporting properly: SWITZERLAND (Dec-2021): Prosecutor Bertossa exonerated both parties. He determined that the €65 million did not have a criminal origin. Corinna voluntarily handed over all her bank statements. SPAIN: Cases dismissed due to inviolability and statute of limitations. Juan Carlos settled €4.4 million with the Spanish Tax Agency. LONDON: Closed for lack of jurisdiction, without a hearing. In his memoirs, RECONCILIATION (2025), Juan Carlos chose one word to describe what happened. He wrote that the relationship was "skillfully instrumentalized" and had "harsh consequences for his reign." Instrumentalized—that is, according to him, she was the tool used against him. And in April 2025, Juan Carlos sued Corinna for defamation. The litigation is ongoing. This story is not over. If you're fascinated by women blamed for the fall of an empire, the twelve-year wars between a king and a businesswoman, the sixty-five million that set everything off, and the stories that prove that when someone powerful falls, the name that remains is almost always that of the outsider, subscribe and turn on notifications. Do you think Corinna has been unfairly burdened with responsibility, or that someone who accepts 65 million from a head of state knows what they're getting into? #Corinna #CorinnaLarsen #JuanCarlosI #Bourbons #SpanishCrown #FelipeVI #Zarzuela #Botswana #HiddenFortunes #EliteSecrets #GreatDynasties #QuietLuxury #OldMoney #TragicRoyalty #65Million #AbuDhabi
