It was the most spectacular and longest flight of the pilots on the GLIDERS ACROSS EUROPE: LITHUANIA-PORTUGAL trip. Experienced Lithuanian gliders Algirdas Šimoliūnas, Sakalas Uždavinys and Ignas Bitinaitis will aim to fly across Europe in gliders without a motor this summer. Three pilots have completed glider flights across the Baltic States (2016) and a flight to the Black Sea, Ukraine (2018). This time, the pilots set themselves the most significant challenge - to reach the Atlantic Ocean washing the shores of Portugal with gliders and become the first Lithuanians to fly across the old continent without a motor. They have quite a long way to go - 4,000 km.
