Jackson and the Janks (Jackson Lynch), "Windowsill," // GemsOnVHS™

Hanging out at the Jalopy basement in Brooklyn, New York City, with our ole pal Jackson Lynch. Some of y'all might recognize Jackson from a recording we made many moons back, in New Orleans, a place he also lived for some time. He was playing with Chris Acker (   • Chris Acker & The Growing Boys, "Big Idea"...  , and we filmed one of his own bangers that night on that dusty corner (   • Jackson and the Janks, "Stumbling" // Gems...  . Both of those are certified classics around here. So with that history in mind, it was great getting to do another with him. We were on a little trip to NYC, Jacksons home, and flew by the infamous Jalopy Theater in Brooklyn to film in their busy basement. Jalopy is super inspiring, a non profit that runs a bar (Jackson is the bartender), a little kitchen, an historic old wooden theater. Upstairs they have rooms for lessons. They also run a label. All in all, its an incredible and lively place for community and folk music. This song is out on streaming. We put it on our playlist for May (https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7DM....
