Scotland - Dumfries Galloway, Wigtown, St, Ninians Cave, Old Kirk - The Wicker Man film locations.

Our day exploring Dumfries and Galloway on the scooter was full of surprises and a touch of movie magic. We took the scooter out along the coast to visit the windy dramatic cliff top location used in the classic film The Wicker Man. We visited Wigtown, Scotland's famous book town with all it's charming bookshops that line the streets. We also visited St. Ninians Cave, a peaceful atmospheric spot tucked away on the shoreline, steeped in legend. The sun came out and we headed to old kirk, where a traditional maypole dance scene from The Wicker Man was filmed, before walking over to the schoolhouse featured in the film. With beautiful scenery, fascinating villages and locations - it was a wonderful day discovering Scotland's hidden treasures.
