MacArthur Park (Jimmy Webb) Piano Cover

One of my favourite song-writers and musicians from the 60s and 70s, Jimmy Webb produced some real pearlers. If you're a fan of his music and haven't heard his album, "10 Easy Pieces", you need to get it. To hear the mastery and subtle nuances he incorporates as he plays the piano and sings all his favourites, is very special. Written in 1967 and first recorded by Richard Harris in 1968, MacArthur Park is one of the more difficult pieces I've played. Not only is the structure unconventional, but the chording is also very unique. And the lovely "circle of fifths" in the bridge is beautiful. The original is a very long song, but I've condensed a little and omitted the up-tempo part in the middle, which I couldn't get to sound so good on the piano. Please excuse the couple of bum notes in there, too! Welcome to my channel, where I like to present my instrumental cover arrangements of popular songs for intermediate or medium level solo piano.
