HFSS in ADS RFPro streamlines EM-Circuit Co-simulation and 3DEM analysis for MMIC Designers
For MMIC and RFIC designers who have standardized their EM verification on HFSS, the integration of HFSS FEM solver in RFPro makes it much easier to set up and launch HFSS 3DEM analysis and Circuit-EM co-simulation from within ADS. This eliminates destructive cookie-cutting of layout; exporting to HFSS; importing HFSS S-parameters into ADS, followed by tedious, error-prone manual connection of S-parameter ports to circuit nodes for Circuit-EM co-simulation. This option in RFPro requires an Ansys HFSS license and it is then accessible from a pull down menu pick from the RFPro solver option as shown.
