Origins and insertions of the arm muscles In this video I am going to teach you how to remember the origins and insertions of the arm muscles, ready for your Level 3 anatomy and physiology exam I take you through 5 learning points and include some bonus memory hacks too. Learning point 1 = Brachii = Arm. Wherever you see the word Brachii, it is referring to the arm. SO, it is important to break away from the gym speak and use the full name here: Biceps Brachii and Triceps Brachii. Learning Point 2: Location - you need to know that the biceps brachii is on the front of the body, and the triceps brcahii is on the back of the body. Learning Point 3: KNow HOJI - make sure you know that both muscles cross two joints, therefore the origin must be above the humerus, and the insertion must be on the forearm.
