Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the United Kingdom, Dr. Husam Zomlot, addresses hundreds of thousands at the National March for Palestine in central London on Saturday, 18 July 2026. Speaking after more than 1,000 days of genocide in Gaza, the Ambassador calls on Britain's incoming Prime Minister to turn words into action: implementing the ICC arrest warrants, adhering to the ICJ advisory opinion, halting all arms sales to Israel, sanctioning companies profiting from the occupation, and banning illegal settlement products and the sale of stolen Palestinian land in London. The Ambassador pays tribute to Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, arbitrarily detained and denied medical care for over a year and a half, and to the more than 9,600 Palestinians held in Israeli detention camps, including Marwan Barghouti. He honours the 260 journalists killed for reporting the truth, and salutes the British solidarity movement — the largest and longest in the country's history — from the anti-apartheid struggle to today.
