Flying over the Mountains to land a MILE High on a Short Runway
In today’s episode I’m flying from my home airport Minden-Tahoe (KMEV) to Sierraville Dearwater Field (O79)! It’s my first time landing the bonanza on a short field of 3,200ft at almost 8,000ft Density Altitude. The weather was beautiful after a recent cold front, and was greeted by many cute cows. This airport is also home to a hotel/hot spring - looking forward to coming back in the winter to enjoy it!
