Behind the Scenes Eye Filmmuseum: Digitaal Archief
Eye Filmmuseum beheert ook het digitale filmerfgoed van Nederland. Hoe deze films bewaard worden en wat daar allemaal bij komt kijken wordt in deze video uitgelegd. Eye beheert met zijn collectie meer dan veertigduizend films uit alle genres: een fraaie staalkaart van de filmgeschiedenis, van klassiekers en kaskrakers tot cultfilms. Eye wordt wereldwijd geroemd om zijn kennis en expertise op het gebied van filmrestauratie en -onderzoek. De collectie van Eye kreeg vorm in 1946 toen de eerste voorloper van Eye werd opgericht: het Nederlands Historisch Filmarchief. In 1952 kwam uit het Nederlands Historisch Archief het Nederlands Filmmuseum voort; sinds 2010 zijn we Eye. eyefilm.nl/collectie
