Pruning Trees, Mud Plastering the House & Traditional Persian Stew | Iranian Village Life

In today's Iranian village life, Mehdi prunes the fruit trees in our yard while I clean fresh herbs under the warm sunshine. Grandma joins us, making the day even more special. During pruning, Mehdi finds two leopard moth larvae (wood-boring pests) hidden inside the dry branches. These destructive larvae can seriously damage and even kill fruit trees if left untreated. After cleaning the herbs, Grandma and I gather the pruned branches, while the jasmine bush comes back to life after being trimmed. Before lunch, Mehdi kneads the traditional mud plaster to improve its strength and stickiness. For lunch, we enjoy a delicious homemade Persian Abgoosht served with fresh herbs and traditional pickles. Then, together as a family, we repair the house walls with mud plaster to protect them from rain and keep our old village home warm and strong.
