The song tells the story of a woman who arrives at the sea after losing her home, her relationship, her possessions and the life she once knew. As she watches the tide erase her words from the sand, she realizes that loss does not define her. The sea becomes a symbol of release. It carries away fear, pride, painful memories and the noise inside her mind. Although she has lost everything she owned, she has not lost her soul, the sky or her will to live.
