Fortezza di Sarzanello
La Fortezza di Sarzanello è l'immagine più rappresentativa rimasta oggi a testimoniare la passata grandezza della città di Sarzana. Fu progettata dagli architetti fiorentini di Lorenzo de Medici a partire dal 1494 e venne terminata nel 1502 dal genovesi. Essa si erge sopra il colle di Sarzanello in una posizione un tempo strategica per proteggere i territorio circostante, attraversato da vie di comunicazione di primaria importanza tra cui la Via Francigena.
