The Right Response to the Mercies of God - Romans 12:1-2 (7.7.19) - Dr. Jordan N. Rogers
Dr. Jordan Rogers continues preaching through The Book of Romans in this sermon on Romans 12:1-2 entitled, "The Right Response to the Mercies of God." If you received mercy from God, you’ve got to live this life for God. God has shown immeasurable grace and mercy toward those whom He has saved through His Son Jesus. The only proper response is a life lived in worshipful obedience to Him. In Scripture, we are commanded to give ourselves as living sacrifices to God. A living sacrifice is not a one-time offering, it is an all-the-time giving of yourself. How do you live a life pleasing to God? What does God expect? He expects us to not be conformed to this present evil age, but instead to be transformed into something entirely different. He expects us to have a brand-new way of thinking; a ‘renewed mind.’ The renewed mind is the mind that is saturated with God’s Word and set on God’s will. In this way, you will be able to discern what God wants you to do in every situation as you give your life as a living sacrifice. The following is a sermon from Romans 12:1-2 and below you will find the video recording and a sermon outline to help you follow along as you watch. I hope this study tool helps you grow in your love for the Lord Jesus and in your obedience to Him.
