日本一汚染されていた川、生き物まみれだった

The Yamato River was once the most polluted of the nationally managed Class 1 rivers. Thanks to the development of sewage systems and purification facilities, as well as the cleaning efforts of local residents, the water quality has improved to the point where ayu (sweetfish) and eels can now be observed migrating upstream. However, domestic wastewater still flows into the river, and because the overall water volume is relatively low, self-purification is difficult, and the environment is far from what could be called a clean river. We investigated what kinds of creatures and how many of them live in the tributaries connected to the Yamato River. Regardless of the species, an incredible number of creatures were found, so please take a look!
