Furtuna deciziilor de viață | Nicolai Tand | TEDxCluj
Nicolai Tand asked us the question: "What did I choose in life after I chose?". Nicolai revealed to us that he did not think about any choice, but felt it. Everything he did was the result of his choices, assumed. He took us through the choices of his life, to work as a young man, to give up higher education, to leave the country for Paris, a path during which he experienced quite difficult moments. His path was followed by another great decision in his life, that of returning home and opening his own restaurant in Romania. He did not have easy decisions, but he chose a path and followed it. Chef Nicolai Tand was born and raised in Maramureș, in the village of Rozavlea, but life took him around the world – from England, America and Italy to the country closest to his soul, France. Guided by his love for people and his passion for cooking, Nicolai started his journey washing dishes in a restaurant in France and gradually became a restaurant manager. He then returned home and brought with him all the lessons learned during his time in France, opening a restaurant in the center of the capital. Although life has taken him to great heights so far, Nicolai has never forgotten where he came from and has always carried in his soul the simplicity and love of food – he loves to eat, cook, taste and always discover new flavors and recipes.
