With her Dad’s help, she had driving experience. In this video, we focused on the skills and techniques she needed to pass her driving test and improve safety. Arielle demonstrated excellent control of the vehicle and its primary controls (steering, braking and acceleration). One key area we focused on was stopping positions at STOP-sign intersections. Proper positioning is critical for visibility and safety. We made sure Arielle was clear on the correct technique. We also honed in on shoulder checks and scanning methods to ensure she was aware of her surroundings and can make safe decisions on the road. Additionally, we worked on improving Arielle's backing skills, teaching her how to judge the vehicle’s position in relation to other objects and road users. For beginner drivers learning how drive, or mentors helping others learn how to drive, this exercise is fantastic. This is a crucial skill for parking, reversing, and maneuvering in tight spaces.
