2014 Indian Stock Exhaust Mod

Note: The main purpose of this video is to give you a side by side instant comparison of the sound quality increase with this mod. Not a step-by-step tutorial for the modification process. It is very easy to accomplish and at the end of the video I explain the easiest way to perform the mod. Free mod to get a little bit more growl from your stock 2014 Indian motorcycle. This mod has been performed by many individuals with mostly positive results. The biggest complaint is that it does not make the pipes loud enough. This is a subtle increase in tone and volume. The difference between the modified muffler and the stock muffler are more noticeable in person. The camera microphone just does not do it enough justice. The theory behind this mod is to remove a 1-1/2" metal disc near the entrance of each muffler. This disc restricts the exhaust gas and forces more of it through the baffle. It is believed to be a factory sound compliance necessity. The stage 1 mufflers that Indian offers for nearly $1000, do not have these plugs. Dyno tests on other's motorcycle showed the engine runs perfectly well, and actually adds a few HP and Torque at the upper RPM range. I cannot guarantee any of these statements are true nor do I accept responsibility for any damage that my result in performing this modification. Any modification to your motorcycle is done at your own risk. Tools needed: 1. 1-1/2" Bi-Metal hole saw. (for cutting metal.) 2. Bit extension to reach 22" into mufflers. 3. Drill. I recommend a plug in type with good power. I estimate the time to complete using proper tools to be between 5 and 10 minutes.
