a quiet spring day at home. slow moments, forest bathing, cozy cooking, playing with amina and choosing colors for my little home projects ☺️ thank you for being here and spending this calm day with me. chapters: 00:05 breakfast 00:35 forest bathing (wabi-sabi) 01:33 back home 03:05 opening a package & choosing colors 04:27 kohlrabi-potato bake & bread baking 06:18 playing with amina 07:11 choosing a color for my sewing box kohlrabi & potato bake recipe 🥔🥬 ingredients: 500g kohlrabi 500g potatoes 1 onion 20ml olive oil 1/2 tsp vegetable broth powder 400ml water 50ml cream 10g butter 20g flour 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper a small bunch of basil or chives 200g gouda cheese cut the kohlrabi and potatoes into bite-sized pieces. finely chop the onion and cook the onion in a little olive oil. add the water and vegetable broth, then bring it to a gentle boil. steam the kohlrabi and potatoes in the broth for about 20–25 minutes. add a little olive oil to a baking dish and spread it evenly. once the vegetables are done, place them into the baking dish. take about 200ml of the cooking liquid and blend it together with the cream, butter and flour. add salt, pepper and basil or chives, then blend again until smooth. pour the sauce over the kohlrabi and potatoes, then sprinkle cheese on top. bake for about 15 minutes at 220°C. serve with any fish or meat you like ☺️ simple sandwich bread recipe 🍞 ingredients: 340ml water 10g dry yeast 20g sugar 500g wheat flour (type 550) 2 tsp salt 1 tbsp olive oil 50g soft butter lightly grease the loaf pan with butter and dust it with a little flour so the bread comes out easily after baking. mix the lukewarm water, yeast and sugar together well for about 5 minutes. add the flour, salt, butter and olive oil, then knead everything well for about 5 minutes until you get a soft dough. place the dough into a floured bowl and let it rest for 1 hour. after resting, gently fold the dough 4–5 times and place it into the loaf pan. let it rest for another hour. dust the top with a little flour and score the bread. place the loaf into a cold oven and bake for 30 minutes at 200°C. remove the bread from the loaf pan and bake for another 10 minutes so the sides become firmer. cover the bread with a kitchen towel and let it cool down ☺️ #slowliving #calmlife #visualdiary #catlife
