Play Safe
Made in 1978 by Antony Barrier Productions for The Electricity Council, Play Safe warns children of the dangers of playing near overhead electric lines and substations. The film combines live action with animation by the Brian Stevens Studio. A foolish animated robin is voiced by Bernard Cribbins. Brian Wilde, famous for his role as Mr Barrowclough in Porridge and “Foggy” Dewhurst in Last of the Summer Wine, voices an animated wise old owl.
