I just re-read Twilight, and wow, this book is more Mormon than I ever remembered. From the Cullens as an “elect” Mormon family to vampire transformation as a kind of Mormon resurrection, I think Stephanie Meyer’s faith shaped so much of this story. In this video, I break down the hidden Mormon overtones, purity culture, and gender roles woven into the saga.
