Smash Ultimate - How to Shield Poke with Kirby

A guide to shield poking with Kirby in v 5.0.0 of Smash Ultimate. This video will show you shield poke setups vs a full shield, step up your shield pressure game by implementing the tricks in this video today! Kirby's jab can be a good shield check due to its quick startup and low FAF. Hitting the opponent's shield with Jab 1 & 2 gives Kirby a little bit of time to shield poke with Dair or Nair. Kirby's tilts work very similarly to the above, only caveat being slight differences in startup and endlag. He gets a bit more time to poke the top of their shield with the options in the video. Kirby's aerials have the benefit of having less endlag than his tilts while having increased startup (including jumpsquat and travel time). You'll get even more time to shield poke them. Bair is a great shield poke tool once their shield becomes damaged enough, having the ability to hit tall characters with full hop Bair. Even falling Bair hits short character's shields under 30 frames. Opponents love to shield on platforms, hitting them with the right aerial or tilt could make or break your platform pressure.
