Ernesto Cuitláhuac Vázquez Reyna, identified as a delegate of the Attorney General's Office (FGR) in Tamaulipas, died after an armed attack on his truck in Reynosa. The vehicle caught fire on Hidalgo Boulevard. After the incident, the Attorney General's Office of the State of Tamaulipas released a brief statement acknowledging the death of one person, presumably a federal public servant.
