Gongsiliao village is located next to Longgang Station, which runs through the Coastal Line of the Taiwan North-South Railway, on the south bank of the estuary of Houlong River. Gongsiliao is a fishing village with a history of 300 years. Due to the advantages of shipping to Gongsiliao Port, the nearby Tongxing Old Street had become a distribution center for goods, and the street was prosperous. However, with the silting up of the port and the decline of shipping, Tongxing Old Street has been also declined. The buildings on the old street seem to have been condensed by the years, maintaining their old appearance and attracting nostalgic travelers to visit.
