Eckerö Linjen Ferry Eckerö ( Berghamn - Grisslehamn)

A film about the Eckerö Linjen ferry MV Eckerö, which operates on the Berghamn–Grisslehamn ferry route between Sweden and the Åland Islands. The MS Eckerö was built in Denmark in 1979 as the Jens Kofoed and entered service for the Bornholmstrafikken shipping company under the Danish flag on the Copenhagen–Rønne and Rønne–Ystad routes. In autumn 2004, the port of departure in Copenhagen was replaced by the port of Køge. In October 2004, the ship was also sold to Eckerö Linjen. On 28 April 2005, the Jens Kofoed made its last voyage for Bornholmstrafikken. The ship was then converted for Eckerö Linjen and put into service under the Finnish flag with the name Eckerö on the Berghamn–Grisslehamn route.
