GIANT 1/4 Scale RC English Electric LIGHTNING! Twin 220 turbine engines!

This impressive model is a cold war fighter jet… the English Electric Lightning! It stands at an impressive 1/4 scale, with a length of 13ft 8in (4.17m). Originally built by Ted Allison over a 4 year period, it was flown by Dave Johnson at the LMA shows but often felt underpowered on x2 160 size engines. Now owned by Steve Hartley, the model has been refurbished, repainted and re-engined with x2 Jetcat 220 turbines to give it more power! Containing Futaba radio gear, mixed with powerbox electronics.
